Snubber Circuits for NEBB SCR Systems
The SpinTec Snubbing Circuit for NEEB SCR systems was designed as a substitute for old existing snubbing modules.
The original AC filter module was implemented as a electrical spike protection on AC relays, when damaged, the capacitor could cause a short circuit at the relay, thus causing possible overheating or malfunction of the particular system been protected.
Due to the difficulty in localizing these faulty circuits as their was no evident sigh of damage, these older modules were simply all “cut out” in order to restart the system. However this resulted in no more overall snubbing protection.
The SpinTec Snubbing circuit was designed to introduce a fuse protected capacitor that would inhibit the short circuiting of the relay, thus allowing the system to stay on line. A programmed periodical test of the snubbing circuits can allow for a quick and easy replacement of faulty filter modules.
Main features are:
- New PCB technology
- Replaceable Diode modules
- Replaceable Filter modules
- Protection of filter modules by integrated fuses on each module
- Electro-mechanical compatibility with old-existing circuits
- Anti vibration brackets for mounting SBB36 and SBB9 Back planes

The amount of actual modules can change between systems and customisations of the NEBB SCR mounting frames and attention should be given to these before ordering.
